Australia Direct® Reverse Charge lets you make reverse charge calls from more than 70 International Calling Destinations. Dial the access number and a Telstra operator will connect you to your requested number. The cost of the call will be charged to the person you are calling. To charge the call to someone other than the person you are calling, ask the operator for an Australia Direct Third Party charge call. The operator will ring the number you wish to charge to get approval for the payment, then connect your call if the payment is accepted. Pricing and Access Numbers For each successful connection, the customer is charged an operator service fee ($4.25), plus a charge for the duration of the call. The timed charge component of an Australia Direct call is based on the originating country, and is charged in one minute increments with a minimum charge of 3 minutes eg. a call lasting 1min 30sec will be charged for three 1 minute blocks. A call lasting 3min 30sec will be charged four 1 minute blocks. Things you need to know - In some public phones, phone card or coins may be required and may not be refunded at the end of the call. Please note the charges, availability and functionality of this service may be affected by the telephone facilities of the country you are in. Some hotels may bar, divert or add a surcharge when you make a call use Australia Direct Reverse Charge. It is advisable to check with the hotel before using this service. Hotel surcharges may be avoided by using public telephones. Australia Direct Reverse Charge calls will incur an Operator Assisted call service fee of $4.25 per call.
